Together, we can make a lasting impact on housing, health, and well-being.

Together this year, we’ve achieved significant milestones in providing holistic solutions for metro Detroit’s housing, health, and w ell-being. “Hope Begins with a Home” is our guiding principle of taking a housing-first approach and addressing the whole person’s needs by providing health and well-being wraparound services, including primary and Behavioral health care, dental services, therapy case management, access to our pharmacy, and much more!

Someone You Know is Currently Facing Homelessness, we want to change that.

With the completion of our Healthy Housing Campus, we now provide secure housing support and other comprehensive
wraparound services to over 12,000 people across four metro Detroit locations. Your support ensures that 83% of our clients have access to vital mental health services they need to thrive. Together, we’ve connected 12,000 individuals with crucial resources, completed 4,785 therapy visits, sheltered 493 people, and placed 361 individuals into Permanent Supportive Housing, with a 98% retention rate. Your steadfast commitment empowers us to make a lasting impact. Thank you for being a vital part of our mission. Donate today and provide hope for so many metro Detroiters!

"HOPE TRULY BEGINS WITH A HOME, AND NSO MADE THAT HOPE A REALITY FOR ME."
ALLAH YOUNG
NSO CLAY APARTMENT RESIDENT AND NSO BOARD MEMBER

"I can't express enough how NSO changed my life. Despite coming from a prominent family, I became homeless for over seven years. It was a difficult journey, but when I discovered NSO, everything changed. The caring staff at Clay Apartments not only provided me with a safe place to call home but also helped me with my daily needs. Today, I'm a proud NSO board member. NSO gave me a second chance, and I want to ensure that others get the same opportunity. Hope truly begins with a home, and NSO made that hope a reality for me."
"Divorce left me homeless and broken, but NSO became my beacon of hope."
KISMA HEARN
FORMER NSO CLIENT (AT THE NSO BELL BUILDING)

"Divorce left me homeless and broken, but NSO became my beacon of hope. For years, I received exceptional care through case management, therapy, and other services that helped me rebuild my life. NSO’s support goes beyond just housing; it touches every aspect of a person’s well-being. Homelessness can happen to anyone, but with NSO's assistance, we can break the cycle. Thanks to NSO, I not only regained my independence but also found love again, and I am now happily remarried."

"I am proof that with NSO’s support, anyone can overcome adversity and thrive."
TYLASS BIVINS
NSO CLAY APARTMENT RESIDENT AND
PRESIDENT OF RESIDENT COUNCIL

"After spending 47 years being incarcerated, I found myself homeless with nowhere to turn. That's when I heard about NSO from a kind lady in the community. NSO provided me with not only housing but also invaluable case management services, transportation assistance, and food support. Today, I am enrolled in medical assistant classes and happily reside in NSO's Clay Apartments. I'm proud to serve as the President of NSO's Resident Housing Council. I am proof that with NSO’s support, anyone can overcome adversity and thrive.”
