Neighborhood Service Organization (NSO) has completed the Detroit Healthy Housing Center (DHHC) construction, set to provide access to care for vulnerable populations. The facility is the first of its kind in the state, providing emergency shelter to 56 adults and 17 beds for homeless individuals to receive continuing care post-hospitalization.

The 22,000-square-foot facility is the second and final phase of NSO’s Healthy Housing Campus. The completed $22 million project includes the Clay Apartments, which offers 42 units for adults who need permanent housing. DHHC houses the 360 Neighborhood Wellness Center, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) – which will offer primary care in partnership with CHASS Center, behavioral health, and dental services. DHHC will provide supportive services to the surrounding neighborhoods with a pharmacy in partnership with Genoa Healthcare– open to the public and other on-site services, including job readiness training and an industrial community kitchen.
