We have all made changes in our lives due to the COVID-19 pandemic. NSO’s Holiday Elf Program has also been modified to minimize social contact to protectour clients, staff and donors. Individually or as a group, you can still make this holiday special for someone in need.
Although our Holiday Elf options are different this year, the need is not. Your gift may be the only one a formerly homeless client receives this year; your kindness will keep someone warm; and your generosity will help us prepare a home for someone living on the streets. Gift Cards for Formerly Homeless Individuals

Make the holiday special for a formerly homeless individual receiving services at the NSO Bell Building, Clay Apartments and in scattered site housing. Their holidays will be warm but may also be lonely. We are asking our Holiday Elves to donate $25 gift cards from one of the locations listed below to allow our clients to buy something they need this year. Gift cards from the following stores are easily accessible to our clients by foot or public transportation. Return your gift cards to NSO along with the Holiday Elf Gift Card Donation Form. Download Form Gift Card Stores: Meijer, CVS, Dollar Tree, Family Dollar, or Aldi Elves can also make a monetary donation to allow NSO to purchase gift cards on their behalf. Winter Warmth Wish List

Hundreds of homeless individuals with nowhere else to go will spend their nights on the cold hard streets. You can warm their hands, feet and hearts by donating items on our Winter Warmth Wish List. Welcome Home for the Holidays

NSO Elves are needed to provide new household goods for individuals who have nothing, as they move from the streets to a home. Everyone deserves a fresh start and your gift of new household goods will help a formerly homeless individual start theirs in true home. Elves can purchase Household Items from our Amazon Wish List and they will be shipped directly to NSO minimizing your social contact.
