Celebrate with NSO at Our Anniversary Gala Benefiting Housing, Health, and Well-Being for Detroit
All proceeds from the Gala directly support NSO’s mission to provide housing, health, and well-being for Detroit.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the NSO concert featuring J Moss, originally scheduled for October 10th, has been canceled. However, we thank J Moss for graciously agreeing to make a special appearance at our 70th Anniversary Gala on October 17th.

70th Anniversary Gala

Celebrate 70 years of service and impact with NSO at an unforgettable gala evening at MotorCity Casino. The night will feature a Motown-Themed Artist Market, a cocktail reception, dinner, and live entertainment by J Moss, Larry Lee and the Back in the Day Band. Guests are encouraged to come dressed in their best Motown-inspired attire to truly set the scene.

VIP guests will enjoy a cocktail reception beginning at 6:00 PM and dinner at 7:30 PM

NSO 70th Artist Market

Showcase Your Art at NSO’s 70th Anniversary Artist Market, a Motown-inspired market curated by renowned artist Hubert Massey! In celebration of NSO’s 70th Anniversary and Detroit’s legendary Motown sound and culture, we’re inviting 25 talented artists to exhibit their work during our anniversary gala.
Event Date: Friday, October 17, 2025 – 6:00 P.M.
Location: MotorCity Casino, 2901 Grand River Ave, Detroit, MI
Exhibit Details:
All mediums welcome (painting, photography, mixed media, etc.)
Minimum of one piece required
FREE submission
Motown-inspired themes encouraged
