EMERGENCY TELEPHONE SERVICE / SUICIDE PREVENTION CENTER

MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Emergency Telephone Service/Suicide Prevention Center (ETS/SPC) is to provide 24-hour telephone crisis intervention, suicide prevention, and information and referral services.
NSO's Emergency Telephone Service/Suicide Prevention Center has provided free telephone assistance to persons in crisis since 1978. Caring professionals offer counseling for individuals experiencing mental health, substance abuse or other interpersonal problems 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. ETS/SPC also has an outreach component which consists of critical incident stress management, speaker presentations and trainings on suicide prevention and crisis intervention.

- Critical Incident Stress Debriefing Team which address traumatic events
- Referrals to Survivors of Suicide (SOS) Groups
- Presentations, education, and crisis intervention training for community groups, professional organizations and individuals
- Information and referrals to appropriate support services
- Support to the community with speakers bureau and workshops
