Title:	Prevention Specialist
Profile:	This is a position providing substance abuse prevention information and intervention for a homeless population. Prevention Specialist will use therapeutic interventions such as motivational interviewing and will implement an adaptation of a best-practice prevention program. Prevention Specialists will also assist with case management activities, complete documentation in a timely manner, and provide staff support for general programming at the Tumaini Center. Status: Full-time Requirements: High School Diploma or equivalent. Associates Degree preferred. Valid Michigan Driver’s License. Good verbal and written communication skills. Flexible working schedule to include weekends. Knowledge of substance abuse and mental health issues. One year experience working with substance abuse population. Experience in working with homeless individuals preferred. State Certification as a Prevention Specialist preferred. Computer experience/skills required.

Title:	Unit Director (Homeless Services)
Profile:	This is an administrative position which includes the management and monitoring of all program services including supervision of staff, coordination of program activities, program development, planning and implementation. The Unit Director promotes the mission, vision, values and strategic plan of NSO and achieves the strategic goals and objectives of the Unit. Status: Full-time Requirements: MA/MS/MSW/PhD. 3-5 years experience in human services with managerial/supervisory responsibilities. Social Worker Licensure from the State of Michigan preferred. Good verbal and written communication skills. Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution and crisis intervention skills. Ability to implement and coordinate program services. Title:	Clinical Social Worker
Profile:	This is a clinical position which involves the assessment and therapy of the developmentally disabled; implementation of treatment goals and objections; case coordination; providing linkages with other services providers; input into the development of treatment plans. And on-going monitoring of clients' progress. Status: Full-time Requirements: MA/MS/MSW + One year clinical social work experience. Title:	Case Manager (7)
Profile:	This position provides case management, follow up and variety of support services to homeless consumers. Support services include, but not limited to: screening for mental heal issues, including dual diagnosis, substance use disorder, substance abuse treatment, educational opportunities, preparation of the consumer to live independently in their own home. The Case Manager will also provide housing search assistance and assistance with gathering and compiling the documents necessary to apply for various subsidized housing programs and crisis intervention services. Assistance with completing applications for housing will also be provided. The Case Manager will have a high level of engagement with the consumers. Internal candidates must submit a current resume and provide proof of education if there has been a change since date of hire. Status: Full-time Requirements: BA/BS/BSW and 2 yrs exp. in Human services. Social Worker Licensure from the State of Michigan preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication sills. Title:	Consumer Advocate (10)
Profile:	This position provides monitoring of homeless consumers, assuring that all basic serviceable needs are met and that all of the Center�s policies and procedures are followed. Consumer Advocate will also provide support and encouragement to consumers, crisis intervention and assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting with case management activities. Title:	Program Supervisor
Profile:	This is an administrative position which involves the orientation and training of new staff, supervision and crisis intervention. It also requires the coordination of specialized case management services such as Early on services and Medicaid Model II Waiver Program. Preparation of annual evaluations, assigned reports and serve as interagency liaison as directed. Title:	Clinical Supervisor
Profile:	This is a Clinical and Administrative position. Clinical duties include assessments, maintaining a caseload as primary therapist, review of clients' eligibility for services, participation in case conferences, I-teams and certification meetings as required. Administrative duties include the supervision of clinicians and hospital liaison, case assignments, coordination of clinical and intake services with other program components, coordination with other service providers, referrals and training of newly hired staff. Profile:	This is liaison position working with community groups. This person works with community-based organizations to revitalize Detroit area neighborhoods. Title:	Program Manager/Gambling Treatment Program
Profile:	This is both an administrative and clinical position. Administrative responsibilities include developing an annual report, monitoring reports of service providers in the state-wide gambling treatment network, attend meetings with state contract manager, participation in agency meetings, as indicated, coordination of clinical program activities, preparation of utilization review and other quality improvement reports, preparation and monitoring of billing reports for the Administrative Services Department, coordination with the Emergency Telephone Services Unit as related to the 24 Hour Gambling Helpline.
