Profile:

Requirements: A minimum of four years human services experience is required. Five of more years' managerial experience, experience in a Managed Care environment, knowledge of research methodology and statistics, and experience in contract management implementation preferred. PhD or MA/MS or MSW or MBA or MPA. Certification and/or licensure in appropriate discipline (Psychology, Social Work, Business Administration, Management, or Public Administration) required.

Profile:

This is a clinical position which involves the assessment and provision of therapy to the developmentally disabled; implementation of treatment goals and objections; case coordination; providing linkages with other service providers; input into the development of treatment plans and on-going monitoring of consumer's progress.

Title:

Telephone Counselors (ETS)

Profile:

This position provides counseling, crisis intervention, suicide prevention and intervention, and information and referrals to appropriate resources in the community to callers on several different help lines. This is an on-call position.

Requirements: BA/BS/BSW, MA/MS/MSW. Two (2) years Human Service or Social Work experience. Licensure from the State of Michigan required. Excellent problem solving, assessment, counseling and crisis intervention skills. Knowledge of mental health issues, suicide prevention and intervention, substance abuse and community resources. Must have good verbal and written communication skills as well as listening, computer and documentation skills. Valid Michigan Driver’s License.

OBRA Nurse Supervisor (OAS)

Profile:

This is both a clinical and an administrative position. The clinical duties include those of the Outreach Nurse position and involve the provision of physical and psycho-social assessments to individuals pursuant to O.B.R.A. regulations. Administrative responsibilities include the supervision of Outreach Nursing staff, case assignment, case consultation, routine daily activity consultation, and monitoring nursing staff productivity on a bi-weekly basis. Submitting a monthly report of outreach nurses productivity totals to the Assistant Unit Director. Acting as liaison between Outreach Nurses, Outreach Coordinators, Therapists, and Case Managers. Performing other pertinent tasks related to the program operations as well as participation in program planning as needed.

Administrative Assistant (Central Office)

Profile:

Responsibilities for this position include the provision of support services to the Corporate Affairs Department and Program Division. Duties include data entry, word processing, filing and retrieval of program materials in an efficient manner, assistance in completing mailing, delivering and picking up grants, proposals, interactions with various Board of Director’s committees (including setting up meetings, refreshments, taking minutes, etc.), Central Office administrative support as directed, special event coordination and involvement in special activities as directed by immediate supervisors.

Placement State Hospital Supervisor (Older Adult Services)

Profile:

This is a management and direct service position relating to the provision of indicated professional mental health services to public consumers residing in the Carelink contractual State and Community hospitals requiring placement into the community, i.e. Adult Foster Care Home, Intensive Crisis residential, Respite beds, or any contracted long-term care facility. The responsibilities include the nursing assessment of psychiatrically hospitalized persons to independently determine the need for treatment; the determination of whether indicated inpatient psychiatric treatment can be provided in other settings; the participation in team meetings within the State Hospital; ongoing clinical contact; and discharge planning activities. This position has supervisory responsibility for the OAS staff at the State Hospital and is the back-up for the Coordinator of Placement and Monitoring in her absence. Clinical responsibilities include 1) Over site of the State Hospital Placement status and reporting placement status to appropriate entities including DWCCMHA, CareLink; 2) Monitoring the State Hospital response to the request for placement packets; 3) Monitoring of State Hospital I-Team functioning.

Profile:

This is a community placement brokering position for consumsers requiring placement into the community, Adult Foster Care Home,emergency placement facilities and supportive housing arrangements. The responsibilities include the assessment of newly referred consumer persons to determine the need for appropriate placement as well as working with current consumers to meet their emergent placement needs.

PATH Case Manager (Tumaini Center)

Profile:

The PATH Housing Case Manager, as part of the Tumaini Center- Housing Services Team and in collaboration with the persons served, is responsible for providing assessment, service plan development, housing placement and assists clients in the application process for SSI/SSDI using the SOAR process. It is estimated that 25% of work time will be used to assist clients using the SOAR process. This position is a community based position which involves intensive outreach services. The PATH Housing Specialist/Case Manager provides services to an assigned caseload under the supervision of the Program Director

Case Manager Residential - OAS

Profile:

This is an ancillary clinical position involving regular face-to-face contact with clients age 60 and older or nursing home residents 18 years and older, primarily in their places of residence. The position involves assessing client’s needs, linking with appropriate services, monitoring the receipt of services, the coordination of all services rendered to clients, and advocacy tasks.

Profile:

This is an administrative position which is responsible for the overall operation, management and oversight of the NSO Statewide Gambling Program.

Profile:

Provide outreach and case management services as a part of the Project Helping Hands outreach team. The ability to effectively engage and encourage the motivation of consumers from the homeless population. Connect consumers to resources, ensure appropriate treatment, and evaluate housing situation and general quality of life. Job includes working on various shifts and on-call shifts. Driving is a requirement of the position.

Profile:

This position includes conducting workshops, street outreach, presentations and trainings in the community and educating youth in the areas of violence and substance abuse prevention.

Requirements: Currently attending high school or recent high school graduate. Knowledge of violence and substance abuse prevention strategies. Able to participate in outreach training. Knowledge of the community. Good communication skills, good public speaking skills, assertiveness and leadership qualities.

Home Visitor (HGMSC)

Profile:

The implementation of the HIPPY model is centered on the recruitment, training and professional development of parents from the immediate community. The home visitors provide the home instruction and are the key to the success of HIPPY. Home visitors are chosen by the local Program Supervisor.

Requirements: Home Visitors must minimally have either an Associate or Bachelor Degree in Child or Human Development, Early Childhood Education, Famile Life Education, Parenting, Social Work or related field, or a Child Development Accreditation (CDA) certification. Program Manager -Homeless Services Tumaini Center

Profile:

The Program Manager provides onsite administrative and clinical support to the team. This position provides social work services and assessments to consumers in the program, and coordinate treatment with outside providers when consumer is being treated by other providers.

Profile:

The Nurse will perform basic health/medical assessments, provide health education and coordinate the provision of community based health care services to consumers. In addition, the Nurse will coordinate primary health care with psychiatric services and administer psychotropic medication to consumers. Profile:

This is an ancillary supports coordination position involving regular face to face contact with persons with developmental disabilities. This position requires the coordination of advocacy tasks such as assisting in making appointments and securing financial benefits. A significant amount of the work is performed in the community including hones and other sites where consumers receive services. This is a clinical position which involves the implementation of the PLAY (Play and Language for Autistic Youngsters) Project.

Requirements: BSW or MSW and 2 years experience in the mental health field. LLBSW, LBSW OR LLMSW, LLP OR LMSW. Appropriate credential issued by Pioneer (QMRP, QMHP and CMHP). Profile:

This is an independant contractor position. This is a clinical outreach position involving regular face-to-face contact with referred clients, generally developmentally disabled or mentally ill for psychiatric follow-up irrespective of age. Outreaching clinical services contacts include individual therapy, medication review and prescription, crisis intervention, diagnosis, and evaluation.

Requirements: M.D. /D.O. + psychiatric residency. Current State of Michigan License to Practice as Physician. Current Controlled Substance License Board-Certified or Board-eligible in Psychiatry. Some experience in dealing with psychotic or geriatric populations and basic computer skills. Independent Contractor will be based at our Life Choices Unit, Woodward Ave., Detroit, MI.

Profile:

This is an intake position involving regular face to face contact with individuals experiencing developmental disabilities. This positon requires the completion of the intake process for Life Choices, which involves extensive, in-depth interviewing of potential consumers and their families/caregivers, completion of Psycho-Social Assessments, as well as other forms. The job duties are under time constraints and must be completed in a timely fashion in order to ensure enrollment and payment. This position requires a significant amount of paperwork as well as a limited amount of home visits.
