Telephone Counselors (ETS) |
Profile: |
This position provides counseling, crisis intervention, suicide prevention and intervention, and information and referrals to appropriate resources in the community to callers on several different help lines. This is an on-call position. Requirements: BA/BS/BSW, MA/MS/MSW. Two (2) years Human Service or Social Work experience. Licensure from the State of Michigan required. Excellent problem solving, assessment, counseling and crisis intervention skills. Knowledge of mental health issues, suicide prevention and intervention, substance abuse and community resources. Placement State Hospital Supervisor (Older Adult Services) |
Profile: |
This is a management and direct service position relating to the provision of indicated professional mental health services to public consumers residing in the Carelink contractual State and Community hospitals requiring placement into the community, i.e. Adult Foster Care Home, Intensive Crisis residential, Respite beds, or any contracted long-term care facility. The responsibilities include the nursing assessment of psychiatrically hospitalized persons to independently determine the need for treatment; the determination of whether indicated inpatient psychiatric treatment can be provided in other settings; the participation in team meetings within the State Hospital; ongoing clinical contact; and discharge planning activities. This position has supervisory responsibility for the OAS staff at the State Hospital and is the back-up for the Coordinator of Placement and Monitoring in her absence. Clinical responsibilities include 1) Over site of the State Hospital Placement status and reporting placement status to appropriate entities including DWCCMHA, CareLink; 2) Monitoring the State Hospital response to the request for placement packets; 3) Monitoring of State Hospital I-Team functioning. Status: Full-time Requirements: BSN. Prior mental health and supervisor experience preferred. Knowledge of basic supervision. Above average communication skills (written & oral). Professional license required. Above average administrative management skills. Ability to relate to and work with all levels of management, staff and vendors. Valid Michigan driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. |

This position provides advocacy and monitoring of homeless consumers, assuring that all basic serviceable needs are met and that all of the Center’s policies and procedures are followed. Consumer Advocate will also provide support and encouragement to consumers, crisis intervention and assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment. Additional responsibilities include assisting with case management activities. Driving is required. Status: Full-time Requirements: High School graduate or equivalent. One year of experience in working with homeless individuals and a broad range of substance abuse and mental health problems. Some knowledge of how to engage consumers in a welcoming manner. |

This is a Fee-For-Service position. This is an ancillary supports coordination position involving regular face to face contact with individuals experiencing developmental disabilities. This position requires the coordination of community services rendered to clients, provision of concrete services, and advocacy tasks such as assisting in making appointments and securing financial benefits. This position requires a significant amount of paperwork. Valid Michigan driver’s license and proof of auto insurance Status: Part-time Requirements: LBSW + 2 years experience in mental health field or similar degree in human services with appropriate supervision. LBSW or LMSW required. Writing skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks. Ability to effectively work with and maintain patience with the population. Basic computer skills are required. |

This is a clinical position which involves the assessment and provision of therapy to the developmentally disabled: implementation of treatment goals and objectives; case coordination; providing linkages with other service providers; input into the development of treatment plans and on-going monitoring of consumer’s progress. Status: Full-time Requirements: MA/MS/MSW + one year clinical experience. Licensed Master Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor or Licensed Psychologist (LLMSW, LMSW, LLPC and TLLP). Eligible of appropriate credentialing. Experience with the Developmentally Disabled population and basic computer skills. Valid Michigan driver’s license and proof of auto insurance. |

The implementation of the HIPPY model is centered on the recruitment, training and professional development of parents from the immediate community. The home visitors provide the home instruction and are the key to the success of HIPPY. Home visitors are chosen by the local Program Supervisor. Status: Full-time Requirements: Home Visitors must minimally have either an Associate or Bachelor Degree in Child or Human Development, Early Childhood Education, Famile Life Education, Parenting, Social Work or related field, or a Child Development Accreditation (CDA) certification.
