Title:

MHRI Field Operations Manager

Profile:

Position will be primarily responsible to assist in administration of a two year grant which offers outreach, housing search assistance, and in-home supports to people experiencing homelessness in Detroit. This position is grant funded through September 30, 2016.

Requirements:

A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Community Organizing, or a related field is required; a Master’s degree is preferred. Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in the housing/homelessness/social services environment. Professional level of knowledge of the principles of the low-income/subsidized housing market, attention to detail and a high level of organization, comfortable in directing and managing day-to-day program operations and working on a team, proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, excellent management, communication and influencing skills. Familiarity with HMIS, prior experience with providing technical assistance, and Federal grants management experience. Valid Michigan Driver’s License and Proof of Automobile Insurance required.

Psychiatrist- Older Adult Services

Profile:

This is a clinical position involving regular face-to-face contact with referred clients, generally age 60 or older, and patients in nursing homes referred for psychiatric follow-up irrespective of age. Psychiatric clinical services include individual therapy, medication/prescription review, diagnosis, evaluation and crisis intervention.

Title:

Human Resources Intern- Unpaid

Profile:

Performs general Human Resources functions relating to employment and benefits. Reviews and screens resumes and applications as directed. Updates, maintains and organizes HR filing system as directed by supervisor. Keys current data to the HR/Payroll system in regards to staff information as directed. Title:

Housing Based Case Manager (HRS)

Profile:

The Housing Based Case Manager, as part of the Supportive Housing Services Team and in collaboration with the person served, is responsible for linking consumers to the Supportive Housing Program, assisting them with housing search and placement, and coordinating with mainstream service providers in the provision of supportive services. The position involves intensive community based services. The Housing Based Case Manager is under the supervision of the Program Manager of Supportive Housing Services.

Title:

Clinical Case Manager (Homeless Recovery Service)

Profile:

The Clinical Case Manager, as part of the ACT Team and in collaboration with the persons served, is responsible for providing intensive case management care and therapy to an assigned case load of clients, which includes but is not limited to regularly scheduled assessments and detailed service plan development, assistance obtaining eligible public and private benefits as well as employment/vocational training, help accessing community-based services, individual as well as group therapy, and encouraging activities that will increase the clients’ likelihood of long-term residency. This position is community based and involves intensive outreach services.

Masters degree in clinical Social Work or Psychology. Limited License Master Social Worker (LLMSW) or Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW); or Limited Licensed Psychologist (LLP) or Licensed Psychologist (LP); CAAC Credentials preferred. At least two years of experience working in community-based behavioral health and/or housing placement services (either outreach care to the homeless or permanent supportive housing placement); Must have a working knowledge and be able to apply the theories underlining the Stages of Change, Trauma-Informed Care, Motivational Interviewing or Cognitive-Behavioral treatments; must be computer literate and comfortable using Microsoft Office Products – particularly Word, Excel, Outlook – and conducting searches over Internet; Must be comfortable working in a team of others who are at various levels of education, experience and professional focus or exposure: Must be knowledgeable of community resources and public benefits; Experience providing group therapy is preferred; lived experience as a reservist/veteran or relative of an active service/veteran strongly encouraged. Profile:

This is a clinical position which includes the provision of nursing services to OBRA clients, overseeing the provision of health care services from other sources (e.g., physicians, Medicaid waivers, neurological exams, etc.) and monitoring of clients’ progress.

Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (OAS)

Profile:

This position entails the provision of Occupational Therapy services, under supervision, for clients who primarily have developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include direct client contact in individual and group sessions, as well as contributing to treatment planning and providing transportation. This position functions mainly in a Team setting, working with those with Developmental Disabilities within NSO’s PASRR contract.

PASRR Nurse Evaluator (OAS)

Profile:

This is primarily a clinical position which involves the provision of physical and psycho-social assessments to individuals pursuant to PASRR regulations, as well as the provision of physical and psycho-social assessments to community-dwelling elderly who are clients of the Older Adult Services unit.

Profile:

This position includes conducting workshops, street outreach, presentations and trainings in the areas of violence and substance and substance abuse prevention.

Title:

Accounting/Finance Intern-Unpaid

Profile:

Performs general basic accounting functions such as assisting staff with preparing financial reports, maintaining ledgers, journal entries and other activities associated with budgets and assets. Input journal entries into general ledger for accounts payable and receivables as directed. Reviews cash receipts against the financial status report.

Reviews all invoices and check files for status of payment and duplications. Inputs invoice and check request information into the computer system as directed. Maintains organized files with check copies and back-up documentation. Locates files as needed for financial staff. Maintains a file of all bills that do not have sufficient back-up documentation. Maintains an organized file on all contracts, leases, etc. Assist staff in completing financial and compliance audits under direction of supervisor. Performs any other related accounting/ finance duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Title:

Monitor (Tumaini)

Profile:

This position provides screening and monitoring of homeless consumers and all incoming packages. Position monitors and assists with the general physical maintenance of the building; including monitoring and providing security throughout the inside and front of the building as well as the parking lot. Staff will also provide support and encouragement to consumers, assist in maintaining a safe and secure environment and assist with addressing the basic needs of consumers.

Requirements:

Some knowledge of substance abuse field and general principles and philosophies of Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous. High School graduate or equivalent.
